This session explored the nuanced relationship between Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), delving into the evolving landscape of privacy and security in the digital era. OSINT has proven to be an invaluable tool, particularly in addressing national and global security issues. It's essential to understand that while GDPR focuses on protecting personal data and privacy, it should not become a means to impede the extensive benefits that OSINT can offer.

Džiaugiamės galėdami pasidalinti, kad neseniai vedėme mokymus Lietuvos šaulių sąjungai. Jų metu nagrinėjame santykį tarp atvirų šaltinių žvalgybos (OSINT) ir Bendrojo duomenų apsaugos reglamento (GDPR), atsižvelgiant į besikeičiančias privatumo ir saugumo koncepcijas skaitmeninėje eroje. OSINT yra neįkainojama priemonė, ypač sprendžiant nacionalinio ir pasaulinio saugumo klausimus. Labai svarbu suprasti, kad nors GDPR daugiausia dėmesio skiriama asmens duomenų ir privatumo apsaugai, jis neturėtų tapti priemone, trukdančia pasinaudoti OSINT teikiama nauda.
