Lietuvos Respublikos Teisingumo ministerijos kvietimu Ministerijos viešosioms konsultacijoms pateikėme siūlymą peržiūrėti kandidatų, pretenduojančių eiti pareigas, ir darbuotojų teistumo duomenų tvarkymo teisinį reguliavimą Asmens duomenų teisinės apsaugos įstatyme.
Mūsų nuomone, Lietuvos duomenų apsaugos reguliavimo politika turėtų išnaudoti sritis, kurias griežtas GDPR reguliavimas palieka nacionaliniam valstybių narių reguliavimui, jose nenustatinėjant griežtesnių standartų nei numato GDPR.
Mūsų nuomone, yra tikslinga peržiūrėti Įstatymu numatytą reguliavimą suvienodinant kandidatų ir darbuotojų teistumo duomenims taikomą apsaugos lygį su GDPR nustatytuoju.

We have submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Justice’s public consultation to review the legal regulation of the processing of criminal record data of candidates and employees in the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.
In our view, Lithuania's data protection regulatory policy should take advantage of the areas that the strict regulation of the GDPR leaves to national regulation by the Member States, without imposing stricter standards than the GDPR.
It is necessary to revise the statutory regulation by aligning the level of protection applied to criminal record data of candidates and employees with the level of protection under the GDPR.
